NP #123: Nosara’s water permit saga continues: Local architects and their clients prepare for legal action

The water saga in Nosara (and all of Guanacaste) unfortunately continues… As a result, some local architects & their clients are preparing litigation hoping to bring attention to the current water permit situation.

It is a confusing situation for many residents and frequently debated in the community.

One local ASADA, led by the tireless Lili Adams, is trying their best to help everyone involved and answer questions. They strongly disagree with the message and opinions shared by Lucca and Evangelina in this episode.

Here is the most recent ASADA update: https://www.facebook.com/286568978085143/posts/6031081330300517/

Unfortunately, the current permitting situation is not within their control. The issue is the processing of many ASADA’s capacities through AyA. However, some are unaware this is an AyA level issue, not a decision of a local ASADA trying to block development.

This podcast was recorded in October. It’s now December and unfortunately this issue is ongoing.

The Nosara Podcast episodes are an opportunity for guests to say whatever they wish. The NP’s intention is simply to share what’s happening within the community. Please remember the opinions expressed by the guests are those of the guests and you’re welcome to contact them directly.

All community organizations are invited and we welcome all dialogue concerning Nosara community issues.

Aaron Zifkin is upfront and well spoken about basically everything and was a pleasure to speak with and get to know. He’s literally launched a company (Airbnb) in Canada & now is helping with Lyft which seems to be a popular company in some places. This post surf session conversation was eye opening and one of the more pleasurable episodes for me as I learned a great deal from Aaron.

So far as Nosara goes, Aaron is a fan of Nosara and in this Nosara Podcast episode he shares his personal and professional opinions about our area and we hope you enjoy it. Big shout out to long time friend Kai Sotto for connecting us.

The Nosara Podcast returns next week…

    Hola todos,

The Nosara Podcast gets going again next week after I finish some brain treatments. There’s many episodes in editing with new guests plus of course we’ll be addressing the seemingly never ending building regulations saga…

The first video is me at the Plasticity Brain Center in Orlando On their MARC machine. This clinic has helped NBA player Lebron James, all time great UFC fighter George St. Pierre (GSP), heaps of other hockey, football, wakeboarding, etc professionals and it was an adventure getting through this season and making it here. I’m almost done though & we’ll be back soon.

In January we released the below explanation of what happened and my goal of completing this high season and making it to TBI specialists for treatment:

Thanks to everyone for support and patience!
