Plunge Nosara is a spot for an infrared sauna & three different temperatures of cold plunge tanks. It’s fantastic place to cool down and improve inflammation or deal with sickness or soreness in your body. My old friend Mike from Beach Dog Cafe recently saw me walking to the beach, super sore like, as I was recovering from dengue. He urged me to come try out his new business, Plunge Nosara, and I’m super grateful I did. It did not take long to make a big difference in soreness and mental calibration, and I strongly recommend it for anyone with sickness or soreness or any kind of TBI. The first time was a wave of emotions but thereafter has been a smooth ride into less pain and a healthier mindset.
In this Nosara Podcast episode, Dr. Robert Edgeworth unloads towards Nosara’s homeowners, especially any and all rental homes and restaurants, to either update their septic treatment systems or ‘Sell your property and leave’ in addition to starting a campaign asking renters to leave ‘one star’ reviews for any house or restaurant asking for toilet paper not to be flushed. He goes through Airbnb’s analytics and cites his reasons for taking these stands. His opinion is anyone with a rental home of any size or magnitude is under an ethical obligation to adjust their septic systems or sell and vacate the community.
There’s a ton of info in this episode… Much of it which will not be received well by many.
What are your thoughts? Is Dr. Edgeworth taking this too far? Or is he doing the right thing?
Nosara is a terrific place for families thanks to the local private school options. Check out the new addition to Sol Academics for Nosara families to consider.
Elizabeth (Eli) Vargas shares an honest and upfront account of her journey to Nosara and becoming an established photographer at one of the premier businesses in Nosara and exploring modeling and overall enjoying her life. She doesn’t hold back when asked about her dislikes of Nosara and is candid about her philosophy on life in general.
Marco Villegas moved to Nosara to serve as the new Executive Director for the Nosara Civic Association. He earned an MBA in Business Administration and Sustainability and has over 10 years experience helping NGO’s and is ready to put his skill set to work for Nosara. We hope you enjoy this conversation and getting to know Marco better!
I am very happy to share the full episode of Brayan Briones! Brayan is a long-time friend and overall a great person. His story is inspiring in many ways. Brayan is from Ostional and used to walk to Guiones every day, since he had no transportation, not even a bicycle. However, he worked hard and developed skills and is now advancing on to new opportunities to help provide for his wife and 3 adorable children.
Jake Carruthers is a great guy to speak with and get to know. His approach to life is wildly different than mine at his age and I enjoyed hearing and learning about him in this Nosara Podcast episode.
I had a great time speaking all things surf, life in Nosara & especially learning Tommy’s journey from Africa, to England, to Australia, then finally Nosara. He’s a pleasure to hang with and I appreciate his candid opinions he shares in this episode.

Cynthia Michaud’s episode is heart wrenching, yet full of warmth, positivity, and hope through community events such as Tastes And Treasures Of Nosara, on February 25th.
In this episode, Cyn shares how The James Initiative is an transitioning a tragedy into massive amounts of ongoing positivity reaching deep into Esperanza, a small town on southern end of Nosara.
Unfortunately, 1/3rd of it’s residents live beneath the poverty line, and some residents are suffering from domestic violence, alcoholism, incest, teenage pregnancy, mental needs, etc. and they need help.
Dr. Alejandro communicated with Cynthia about the situation and now we are fortunate to have The James Initiative focusing on the situation.
